Vaginoplaty (Vaginal Rejuvenation)

 |
Vaginoplasty, often called vaginal rejuvenation—is another surgical procedure that can help
women who've had multiple childbirths by offering a surgical remedy to tighten and enhance the
sensitivity of the vagina.
What is Vaginoplasty?
Vaginoplasty is a female genital surgical procedure to tighten vaginal muscles.
For women who have experienced multiple childbirths, vaginal muscles tend to experience enlargement due
to stressful expansion during the delivery. After delivery the vagina may return to a more "normal" size, but it often fails to return to its'
pre pregnancy diameter. The result can often be loose, weak, vaginal muscles. Even
after exercise, the condition of the vaginal muscles may not improve. Vaginoplasty is a direct means of enhancing
sexual life once again. The procedure typically tones vaginal muscle, resulting in greater contraction strength
and control, thereby permitting greater sensation during sexual experiences.
Risks:
The most common risks of surgery may include bleeding, infection, and scarring, however these are very unusual.
Length of Surgery:
1 to 2 hours
Recovery:
Vaginoplasty is an outpatient procedure usually performed under local anesthesia or mild sedation. After surgery, the patient is
usually able to walk comfortably within a few days and may return to sexual activities within 4-6 weeks. Full healing is about 6-8 weeks.
